Sports & Tournaments
The ANRIA Grand Master Chess Challenge and our badminton squads, who took first and second place at the QTICKETS 12th anniversary tournament.
Family Gatherings
The winter gathering and seasonal get-togethers, built around cooking, eating and performing together rather than around a stage and a schedule.
Community Service
Practical help where it is needed — medical assistance, support for families in difficulty, and the phone calls nobody advertises.
Charity Initiatives
Blood donation camps run with the Hamad Blood Donation Centre, housing support for families in severe need, and medical assistance back home.
Youth & Students
Chess competitions for under-8 to under-14 players, and the honouring of members’ children who top their Class 10 and Class 12 examinations.
Celebrations & Milestones
Anniversary nights, the Torch Bearers Award for our founding members, and the association turning up for private milestones as reliably as public ones.
Arts & Performance
Our own performers competing and winning at ICC events such as Kala Ke Rang and the ICC Carnival, and dancing at Qatar’s Eid Al-Fitr celebrations.
Member Network
New arrivals introduced to families already settled here — schools, housing, paperwork and the hundred small questions of a first year in Qatar.
Sporting Achievement
Members representing ANRIA across the Qatar expatriate sporting calendar, in men’s doubles, children’s singles and open competition.
Children’s Programme
Pookkalam laying, stage performance and games that give children born in Qatar a living connection to where their families come from.

Open evenings, press meets and anniversary gatherings where the association’s plans are put in front of the membership.
