Who we are & What we do
The members of this association include expatriates from Qatar and their families who hail from Angamaly Municipality, as well as the following panchayats: Ayyampuzha, Kalady, Kanjoor, Karukutty, Koratty, Mookkannoor, Manjapra, Malayattoor, Neeleswaram, Parakkadavu, Nedumbassery, Sreemoolanagaram, Thuravoor, Okkal, and Koovappady.
Goals
Our goal is to provide a platform for our members to connect, engage, and grow together as a community. By organizing social, cultural, and recreational activities, we strive to strengthen bonds among members and promote a supportive network where everyone feels valued and empowered.
Cultural Events
Our association serves as a cultural bridge, bringing the rich traditions and festive spirit of Kerala to life here in Qatar. We conducted events such as Onam celebrations, traditional performances, and community gatherings, providing our members with a platform to connect, celebrate, and preserve our heritage while living abroad.
Sports and Recreation
Our association organizes a variety of sports activities to bring our members together. Be it cricket matches, football tournaments, "vadam vali", chess competition or other recreational games, we ensure there's something for everyone to enjoy and stay active.
Collaboration
We are committed to making a difference. Through our association, we actively participate in community service projects, supporting meaningful causes and contributing to the well-being of the community in Qatar.
Voices from our members
When my father was hospitalised in Doha, ANRIA members were at the ward before my own relatives could fly in. That is not an association, that is family.
New to Qatar and lonely, I found so many friends from home in a single weekend at an event in ICC.
At the ANRIA Onam my kids run behind the Pulikali, eat sadya on a banana leaf and speak Malayalam all evening. Priceless.
